Project
The project involves the construction of an environmentally friendly tourist zone covering 8 hectares on the Ngapali Peninsula, including the creation of an eco-resort. The major challenges related to urban infrastructure were:
- Integrating the project into its natural environment while adhering to local construction standards and offering “simple” solutions.
- Implementing an alternative management system for rainwater, including landscape swales and public spaces with multiple purposes (vegetable gardens) that can double as retention/infiltration basins during the monsoon season.
- Ensuring site accessibility, especially on the higher part of the hill.
